Vegetation: The vegetation series. is derived from various landscapes, ranging form the desert southwest in the US to Asia and Europe. In each of these drawings the color, texture and structure are expressed in conjunction with light, shade and shadow. These drawings seek to depict unique conditions of each plant through a focused view, Each drawing is developed through an understanding that the plant does not exist in isolation but is a convergence of sun, rain earth, and nutrients which unite to allow the plant to emerge.

Convergences: The Convergences series seek to be a collage of conditions, experiences and phenomena. These works overlay individual, collective and mythical stories that speak to the mystery of human and natural life. This series is an exploration of how phenomena are constantly transforming and that static conditions are non-existent. The works are influenced by Eastern beliefs where there is no independent existence and that there is a constant arising of conditions uniting experiences and phenomena.

Places: The places series are derived from travels where architecture and context merge to provide experiences that evoke sensations of joy, wonder and mystery. Whether situated on the land, embedded in the earth or elevated above, places that inspire us will always have a unique relationship with the earth, the sky and vegetation.
